AMST Combustion Wire Flame Spray Guns Model AMST-12EA, AMST-14EA, AMST-12EL & AMST-5K offers trouble-free operation with highly reliable coating results. Offered guns are similar to Oerlikon Metco’s Type 12E & 14E combustion wire spray. Offered guns have versatility to use with variety of wire sizes apart from the standard 1/8” and special hardware to use the guns with Propane/LPG as well as Acetylene as chosen fuel and High speed as well as low speed gear combination to run the guns for soft or hard wires.
AMST wire flame spray guns are used for most common application of machine element restoration, non-critical surface restoration, corrosion coatings, bond coats, sliding wear applications requiring self-lubricating coatings and on-site work such as bridges, water towers and marine applications.
AMST offers wire flame spray system Model: AMST-12EA & AMST-14EA for spraying all kinds of metallic, alloyed and cored wires as economical model in the wire spray series. The system has light weight hand held wire flame spray gun which is unique in design and easy to operate.
Both guns are offered with air turbine for speed control as per wire diameter, wire type and coating application. The system is offered with wire gun, 2GF Gas Flowmeter, wire reel stand with straightner, gas control unit, air control unit and hose sets.

Gas Flowmeter , Type 3GF with scale in NLPM & SCFH for Fuel & Oxygen Flow rate adjustment as per parameters for each wire. The flowmeter is offered with built-in NRV for safety protection against backfire, which does not allow reverse flow of the gases. |
Type 3AF AIR FLOWMETER | |
---|---|
Air Flowmeter, Type 3AF with scale in NLPM & SCFH is a highly accurate, rugged and reliable instrument for regulating and measuring the flow of compressed air in a manual powder or wire flame spray system. |
Wire flame spray process uses Fuel gas (LPG/Propane/Acetylene) and Oxygen for the combustion to melt the wire in the flame and compressed air to finally atomises the molten particles into fine droplet which once spray on the substrate, gets instantly solidifies in various layers thus gives required coating thickness of desired coating properties. Wire is fed from axially in the flame and thus uniformly melts the material to achieve required coating properties.
